==Altair==

* Capital: Border Station Tengu (Miltary), Salvage Station 16-B (Effective Civilian)
* Population: ~500,000-2.1 Million

Altair isn’t a system, there is no star here it just so happens to be a spot in deep space where a series of nodes have coalesced. There is however a near countless number of wrecked ships, stations and other debris, indicating that at some point this system was massively fought over by someone, though as of yet no salvage has indicated who or what they were. The military maintains checkpoints and scans every ship entering or leaving, after all while they aren’t pirates the Confederacy still has its smuggling and other crime problems. The system has several salvage and resource extraction stations but also sees a lot of independent salvager traffic.

===Anomaly: Minoa 109-4===
A large collection of asteroids and debris that has formed an irregular planetoid in the exact centre of the system, Minoa 109-4 is of great interest to the scientific community, but is unfortunately hard to reach and has thus far only been studied via flyby probes. Both the Senate and Congress are currently being lobbied to fund a manned expedition.
