Responding to the need for a larger class of multi-role capital ship, the Forgotten came up with the Forgiveness. Its primary armament is two spinal mounted heavy mass drivers that run the length of the ship, developed as part of the Damnation project. Backed up by four tri-linked anti-photon beam turrets on the fins, with another mounted dorsal on the engine block, the Forgiveness is a formidable threat to capital ships and strike craft alike. Numerous hull-mounted lasers round out the ships defences.
The large forward hull houses an observatory as advanced as that on the Deliverance, with autoscopes mounted in both the upper and lower fins. Like the Deliverance, the Forgiveness has modular hangars and cargo bays, positioned above and below the central hull, in between the fins. Each of the two decks can be configured separately, with the maximal hangar configuration housing sixty strike craft. Typically the Forgiveness carries six Angels in the lower hangar and four squadrons of strike craft in the upper hangar.
