Home to a blue super giant star, Vega has a distinct lack of planets, having but one. That said it’s also a wealth of resources and the second most populous system in the Confederacy.

==Hephaestus==

* (Class U) Gas Giant
* Capital: Saturnia Adminsitration Complex
* Population: 23.9 Million

A yellow-white Hot Jupiter with remarkable similarities to Jove in Beta Aquilae, Hephaestus is luckily marginally less stormy making for easier gas mining operations. Of course the majority of the attention and mining doesn’t take place on the planet itself, but on the massive series of rings and asteroid belts around it (Many theorising these are the remains of the other planets in the systems) which hold the greatest mineral wealth in the confederacy. The rush to Hephaestus has caused a massive upswell in the population too and the massive foundries and their support structures are well on their way to become fully fledge and self sufficient colonies in their own right.

===Hephaestus Atmospheric & Chemical Research Station (HACRS)===

The newest of CARA’s facilities, HACRS was built to replace the high-maintenance JACRS facility around Jove, HACRS investigates the atmospherics of super-giants as well as undertaking research with the vast chemical wealth available to them. The core station is roughly 90% complete, but two new additional sections have been added to the plan, to provide additional support for the ATSET and LASNET research teams.

===Vega Research Complex (VRC)===

The VRC was initially constructed simply to provide additional research space outside of the ODF, however since the formation of ATSET and LASNET, an upgrade programme has begun to provide additional support facilities for these teams.
