The Balash, like its smaller cousin the Kuvud, has not yet been built in significant numbers. Its primary purpose appears to be the escort of larger capital ships which are unable to manoeuvre quickly enough to fend off attacks from smaller craft. The Balash shares many design similarities to the Kuvud, but holds numerous guns of a higher calibre.
