After it became clear that not all empires fielded capital phalanxes, the engineers of the Church quickly plied the Librarian for knowledge. What they received was not quite a capital vessel, and not quite a fighter. The Bene-Elohim gunship is still plated in Chromesten, like its larger cousins, but carries a special Ultra-Light Meson Emitter. The good side of the ultra-light variant is that is is far easier to aim and control, and able to maintain an unprecedented six beams at a time. The problem is, the beams are thin and low-powered, meaning that while the Bene-Elohim is an excellent answer to any strike craft, it is under armed for taking out heavier targets. | After it became clear that not all empires fielded capital phalanxes, the engineers of the Church quickly plied the Librarian for knowledge.
