The Vaygr bomber is a relatively new addition to the fighter arsenal. Captured and salvaged Higaaren bombers unlocked the secrets to this strike-craft's powerful weaponry, the plasma bomb. Locking a large amount of plasma into a magnetic bottle is a fairly complex process, but its potency is never in doubt. Ask any frigate captain who watched his ship literally melt and disintegrate from under him.
